And You Trust An FDA Approval?!

Seriouly, do you trust an FDA approval of anything?! There have been countless drugs recalled that were deemed 'safe' when approved.

Let's look at this drug here called 'Vioxx' it was used to treat pain for 'Arthritis', it was a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug and look what it did. It killed over 60,000 people. (Thanks brother Erik van Niekerk for sharing this.)

But now the people should trust the FDA with this rushed experimental drug in less then a year of studies! Yikes, come on people.

"At the time of its recall, Vioxx had been taken by some 4 million Americans. Out of those patients who took Vioxx, the arthritis drug may have caused approximately 140,000 heart attacks resulting in an estimated 60,000 deaths, FDA investigator Graham. Graham concluded that “fundamental problems” within the FDA led to those deaths."

"1999 Vioxx hit the market. The company began distributing the drug to pharmacies across the United States just two days after receiving its stamp of approval from the FDA. Merck needed Vioxx to be successful since four of its existing drugs, bringing in total annual sales of approximately $5 billion, were about to lose their patent protection.
