Personal Genie

I feel the need to say this tonight. Sadly, so many have a distorted view of The Most High, our Heavenly Father. Many view Him as their own personal Genie of sorts. They only come to Him when they need something of material value. Not ALL do, but there are many.

Now, I'm not saying that we shouldn't go to the Father for our needs. What I'm saying is, He is NOT some magical being that just lives up in the sky, far far away, and you just whip out your lamp and rub it when you need Him, and then you put it away when your done.

When is the last time that you said, Father may YOU be blessed today. Or Father I love YOU because of who you are to me, a loving merciful Father.

The Most High of the Bible, is referred to as a Father, hundreds of times. Why! It's to show us that there is a Father-Child relationship there. Jesus the Messiah told us how we should pray, do we pray 'God' in the Lord's Prayer, no, we were taught, our Father. Why, because it is precious! Because we can love Him as a Father, because He loves us as His children. It is a tender relationship that so many miss out on.

Many times the Father still honors His children's request, almost as an earthly good father would. With the hopes that His children will remember Him and show Him love and gratitude. Think of how precious this verse is here.... "And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Galatians 4:6. That is just so beautiful.

May you remember to view the Most High as your Precious Loving Holy Father. Here are just a few more, to remind you...

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. Psalm 103:13

My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. Proverbs 3:11-12

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1

Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:9-11

Much love!
