Chair of St. Peter aka Throne of Satan
The Altar of the Chair of Saint Peter (Latin;Cathedra Petri), also known as the Throne of Saint Peter, is a bronze sculpture in the Vatican's St. Peter's Basilica. It is placed right under the dome, with a stained glass window above for the SUN to shine it's light through. The Vatican claims it's the Holy Spirit's light guiding the church. Hmmm!
The designer, Gian Bernini worked on this massive project which took nine years to complete (1657-1666). The work was finished in the year 1666 under Pope Alexander VII. Do you believe it is just a coincided that this is the year the Throne was completed?!
This Chair/Throne is not a normal size chair. The dimensions are enormous! The Chair itself is over 20 ft. tall, the figures of the bishops stand between 13 and 16 ft. And the whole work weighs over 150,000 lbs.
So why make a Chair/Throne so large? Whom is it for, the Pope, no! We don't know the size of angels (fallen angels) but we do know that in 1 Kings 6:23-28 it tells us in Solomon's temple he made two cherubim figures that were 15 feet tall. And then we have the Nephilim, who we know where also very large (Numbers 13:31). And yes, there are verses stating that you can't tell the difference between the two, men and angels. Yet, there is no explanation for such a massive size Throne.
Above the Chair are two angels bearing the Tiara and Keys, symbols of the Roman pontiff's authority. But what do the keys represent, from the Vatican's website… "The golden key represents 'spiritual' power whereas the silver key represents 'worldly' power." Or you could say, Political and Religious power! And what does the Tiara represent, from the Vatican's website… "The Papal Tiara formed by three crowns symbolizing the triple power of the Pope: father of kings, governor of the world and Vicar of Christ." Basically, supreme power over the earth, begin the substitute for Jesus. Hmmm!
And last but not least, every year on February 22nd, the Church celebrates the "Feast of the Chair of St. Peter". It's a day to reflect on the 'Office of Peter', in other words, the Office of the Pope. It's about the 'seat' and the 'authority'. You are to pray for the Pope, that holds that office. Who is 'spiritually' seated in that Throne.
So who is giving the Pope this power? I believe the one who sits in this Throne, Satan, (the fallen angel) himself. Rev 13:2 … and the dragon (Satan) gave him his POWER, and his SEAT, and great AUTHORITY.
