A Crown Of Thorns?
Many times a picture speaks louder than words!
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT POST.
Wearing a 'crown of thorns' on one's head… Can it get more blasphemous than that?!
This statue is placed in Assisi, Italy at the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels. The statue was made to commemorate Pope John Paul II's meeting in Assisi. This was a historic meeting, it was an inter-faith meeting….
"In October 1986, Pope John Paul II held the "World Day of Prayer for Peace of Assisi", the first time such an event had occurred. In all there were 160 religious leaders, who spent the day together with fasting and praying to their God or gods. They represented 32 Christian religious organizations and 11 other non-Christian world religions."
This is known today as 'The Spirit of Assisi' which is the same spirit shown in Pope Francis. It is a spirit of new age and of a global religion. It IS the spirit of Babylon!!!
And interestingly, I did find a replica statue of this same Pope John Paul II in Australia at their St Mary's Cathedral. This statue had an inscription on the plaque reading… "The statue of Pope John Paul the Great by the sculptor Fiorenzo Bacci was donated to Saint Mary's Cathedral by the Italian Australian community of Sydney and generous donors led by and generous donors led by Italo Mazzolain the year of the 23rd World Youth Day on 19 April 2008."
So why would this statue honor Pope John Paul for the World Youth Day? Because he is responsible for starting this movement. I will be doing another post on the World Youth Day.
However, the point of this post is, why is there a 'CROWN OF THORNS' on this Pope's mitre (which is a hat of the priest of the god of dagon), but that's also for another post. And why is he holding a palm branch in his hand?
As for the palm branch, the claim would be made that it's nothing more then to represent 'Palm Sunday' since the 1st World Youth Day was held on a Palm Sunday. However we must remember that palm branches have been long known to represent 'Victory'. Thus why they were waved upon Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, showing that He was the King, John 12:10-15 and fulfilling Zech 9:9.
So would Pope John Paul's palm branch represent 'Victory'? Maybe victory over his historic religious world gathering for peace?! He was able to bring Christians of every denomination and 11 non Christians religions together to fast and pray to their gods at the same time, while removing and covering every cross. What an abomination, however he was victorious in completing his task. And Pope Francis is continuing in that same spirit. That's now I would view it.
These popes, men of sin, are held as men of peace around the world. And it is taught and believed that they are the 'Vicar of Christ', the fleshly SUBSTITUTE for Jesus here on earth. That is what 'Vicar' means. So what I see here is a clear image of this being displayed on this statue. This Pope who was called 'Pope John Paul the Great' or 'The Blessed Pope John Paul' was loved by the world!
It's very disturbing to see a crown of thorns on anyone other then Jesus, since this is a symbol of what Our Savior endured for us in Matthew 27:29 and John 19:5 when they mocked Him.
However there is a more spiritual meaning to this 'Crown of Thorns' that Our Savior wore. Remember when Adam and Eve disobeyed The Father, He cursed the ground and made the statement that both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you Genesis 3:18-20. This is both physical and spiritual, the sharp thorns now prick our forehead, our conscience each time we sin. And since Jesus was sinless, He had mercy on us, and He took on that crown of thorns, our sins. Thus also why in 2 Timothy 4:8 it tells us that if we fight the good fight and keep the faith in Jesus, there is a crown of righteousness for us.
Now all Popes believe that they and their priest have the power to forgive sins, and that is blasphemous! It's ONLY The Heaven Father through the Son that forgives sins. Eph 1:7-8/Col 1:13-14
So this statue is nothing more than pure mockery of Our Savior! Please come out of this church if you are Catholic. And please do not follow after anyone trying to bring about a unity of all religions in the name of peace! Our Savior Jesus, The Messiah said, I didn't come to bring peace but a sword! Matthew 10:34 World religious unity is against what Jesus taught, He came to give us a 'sword' the 'Word' of God, the Bible! We must stand on His promises. True 'Peace' will only come when His Kingdom comes!
