Pope Francis A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing!
Yes! Pope Francis is a wolf in sheep's clothing figuratively and literally!
This man, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, is very different from the past popes. He portrays himself as a sweet humble old man.
Here are a few outward differences...
The first thing he did was shock Catholics around the world on live TV, by asking for prayers within minutes of his papacy announcement. Popes pray for the people, not the other way. Then he replaced the classic red papal shoes for simple black shoes. Around his neck he wears a pectoral cross called "The Good Shepherd" made of iron and not gold. He wears a silver ring again instead of the classic gold. He has also refused to wear the red mozzetta Cape, he prefers to be in all white. And lastly, he replaced the golden thrown with a simple white chair.
This Pope is seriously trying to be the 'Vicar of Christ', the so-called substitute for Jesus on earth. And don't forget he is a JESUIT!!! The 1st ever! Did you know that Jesuits are NOT suppose to become Pope?! They take vows.
“In our final vows, we promise not to seek church offices. It's only when the Holy Father orders us to do it that we accept.”
This is a powerful position. The papal 'seat' has been called the world's moral authority leader and the most powerful man in the world.
However the focus of this post is on something he said at the very beginning of his papacy, back in 2013 and something specific he wore two years later. Look at this headline, this was just 2 weeks after he was elected Pope, during a mass at St. Peter's Basilica, Pope Francis stated the "shepherds should smell like sheep." What an odd choice of words. Remember, much of what Francis says sounds good. However, that is the job of a wolf in sheep's clothing, to blend!
Headline.... "Priests should be 'Shepherds living with the Smell of Sheep'."
“This is what I am asking you,” he said with emphasis, looking up from his prepared text, “be shepherds with the smell of sheep,” so that people can sense the priest is not just concerned with his own congregation, but is also a fisher of men. -The Catholic Telegraph, March 28, 2013
Now due to this statement, it brings about this one here....
"Pope wears Sheepskin mitre at mass"
Italian missionary Virgilio Pante, Bishop of Maralar, gave Francis a liturgical headpiece “with the smell of sheep”. The Pope wore it for the mass in Nairobi.
During the Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday, Francis said a pastor must have “the smell of sheep”. Since then, Bishop Virgilio Pante, pastor of Maralar and a Consolata missionary from Belluno, Italy, had the idea of giving the Pope a mitre made from sheepskin.
He was able to give the Pope this original liturgical headpiece before this morning’s mass and Francis decided to wear it during the celebration at Central Park, at the University of Nairobi. Mgr. Pante is leader of the Kenyan diocese which is home to the Nilo-Hamitic shepherds.- Lastampa Vatican Insider November 26, 2015
What is a "Mitre"? The Roman Catholic Churches states it's a "ceremonial head-dress" of bishops. However, it's pretty easy to see where this comes from....
"The chief priests wore miters shaped like the head of fish, in honor of Dagon, the fish-god, the lord of life - another form of the Tammuz mystery, as developed among Israel's old enemies, the Philistines."
I will leave some pictures in the comments as well.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15
"I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock." Acts 20:29
